One Room Challenge: Week 3

We are half way through our One Room Challenge and I think hope we are in good shape. I have ordered most of the items and Chris has finished framing out the wall.

Let’s start with what the wall looked like a couple of weeks ago: An awkward chimney jut out that made it difficult to lay out the room. The task? Build out the wall so that it is all flush.

Step 1: Remove the baseboards carefully so we can reuse them since they are original to the home.

Step 2: Frame out the wall.

Step 3: Drywall, tape and mud. Hi babe!

Step 4: Prime, re-install baseboards and paint.

This weekend we will be tackling this step and I need to make a paint decision. Which Benjamin Moore colour below do you like best? AND do we paint the whole room or just this wall? I’m going for a light and airy feel but I also don’t love the idea of an accent wall. Help me decide!

WHAT’S LEFT TO DO:

  • paint and prime

  • re-install baseboard

  • order mattress

  • make headboard

  • order ceiling light and install it

  • DIY mirror

  • build bed (new bed arrives today!!)

Eeks this suddenly feels like a ton of work still left to do! And if you’re looking to see more of the fun, check out what the rest of the One Room Challenge participates are up to here.
