One Room Challenge: Week Two

It’s week two of the One Room Challenge and our bedroom makeover is underway! If you were following along on Instagram over the weekend, you may have saw that Chris started on the construction framing out our largest wall, the wall where our new king sized bed will be. Can I get a what what for a king bed?!

I have been working away on the design plan and I am SO excited to finally share it with you. Our number one priority was more storage and well my other number one priority was a gorgeous space that felt like me us.

Let’s start with the inspiration board:

I am definitely feeling neutrals and a little green for the space and am loving anything arched or curved. So now that you see the kinda of vibe I am going for, here’s my vision for our new bedroom:

We are mostly starting from scratch with this space. We recently bought the IKEA Malm dresser because nothing beats simple, functional and minimal like this dresser. We have a pair of Maurice Prentice Burke chrome and leather chairs from the 70s and are currently using one in our living room, so we figured our bedroom would be a great place for the other one.

New items:

  • custom headboard that Chris will be making

  • lighting

  • king bed with storage

  • linen bedding and sheets

  • nightstands

  • decorative pillows (my favourite Sarah Sherman Samuel x Lula & George pillows are currently sold out so I may need to find a replacement for the ones in the moodboard)

Alright time to get to work! Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the One Room Challenge participates are up to here.
